The Next Day Diary
As with most things, preparation is the key to successful English. One great way to prepare is by writing a "Next Day Diary."
Most people write a diary about what happened before. However, the idea behind the "Next Day Diary" is to write what WILL happen when you implement your English. In other words, write down what you will do and say when you need to use English in the real world.
English Skills
This has several benefits. First, it allows you to foresee English problems that might arise. Writing something out is usually easier than saying it so this will give you a chance to ease into your English.
Confidence
Second, it will boost your confidence. If you notice that you panic or choke before implementing English, this process can really help. By thinking things through, you can release some of your stress and anxiety.
Imagination
Third, writing a "Next Day Diary" stimulates your imagination. Using your imagination exercises your hippocampus, a part of your brain responsible for general memory functions.
